UFC President Dana White announced both men will finally meet inside the octagon at UFC 295 in one of the biggest bouts in MMA history.

The UFC has been delivering great fights during 2023, and the show will go on till the end of the year.

While this is a great weekend for combat sports fans with UFC 290 taking place in Las Vegas, it will probably get better for all of them, as a much-anticipated super fight has been made official in recent hours.

UFC President Dana White announced that Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic will meet on November 11 at the Madison Square Garden, New York, for the heavyweight crown:

For the heavyweight championship of the world, Jon Jones, the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, will defend his title against the greatest heavyweight of all time, former champ Stipe Miocic”.

“This is the fight that Jon Jones wanted, it’s the fight that Stipe wanted. It’s a legacy fight for both of these guys. It’s official, it’s done. Make your plans now, and I will see you at the fights”, White added.

An all-time greats battle

After a three-year layoff, Jones (27-1, 1 NC) made his return in March at UFC 285 and delivered an impressive performance by stopping Ciryl Gane in the opening round to win the vacant championship.

Meanwhile, Miocic hasn’t fought since losing the title to former division champion, Francis Ngannou, at UFC 260 in March 2021.

Bones is considered the best UFC fighter of all time, while many believe Miocic is the GOAT in the heavyweight division, which makes it a very special fight.

Jones, a former two-time light heavyweight champion and current pound-for-pound No. 1, spent the last two years bulking up to get ready for the heavyweight division, where he instantly succeeded by defeating Gane.
